I’ve posted Episode 70, in which Corey and I chat about Apple’s decision to pull out of Macworld in 2010 and the impact that will have on Mac games at Macworld, the Worlds.com MMO suit against NCSoft (I mean, c’mon!), and the conclusion of the used game market commentary…how does this controversy really affect Mac games?
Also, great reviews of ToCA Race Driver 3 by Feral Interactive, FlatOut 2 by Virtual Programming, and Build-a-lot 2 by Red Marble Games. So, check it out!

So, Corey and I weren’t able to link up this week for a regular iGame Radio session, so I’ve done a game review edition with iPhone games. You can check it out here or go directly to the iGame Radio page to listen in. But hopefully you already know, because you have already subscribed!

I’ve posted Episode 69, in which Corey and I chat about DRM, the used games industry, and piracy rates. Oh, and benchmarks for the Macbook and Macbook Pro. Corey does a review for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and I do a review of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Not World at War, as I called it once during the show…that’s what happens when you have the two versions available in the marketplace at once).
Oh, and I’m very sorry about the mess-up with Episode 68…that being that I accidentally swapped the URL for Episode 67 into the RSS feed item for Episode 68. That’s all been fixed now.
BTW, I’m playing around with a podcasting plugin. My eventual intention is to post all of my podcasts using WordPress hosted through MacRadio, but for now I’m running some tests. So I’m actually posting my podcast link to Episode 69 below, complete with player, to see how it looks.

Yes, indeedy, I have finally posted Episode 66. Cory and I cover the Apple laptop event and what it means to gamers, what happened at Blizzcon, and part 1 of a review of Spore, published by EA.
We’ll be putting out another episode in about a week from this coming Thursday, and I’ll be doing a second part of the review of Spore, along with other goodies…like, for example, we’ll hear more about what’s been happening at PopCap Games. :D

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and have finally decided to change the days on which I post my podcast from Monday to Thursday. I’ve been posting them on Mondays, but this is actually a holdover from the old Gamesome Mac days when we broadcast the show live on Mondays. I have the ability to decide when I want to post my podcasts that don’t depend on a broadcast schedule, and have for a long time. I’ve just stuck with Monday because…well, because.
But, Mondays are becoming an increasingly difficult day to post on, for a variety of reasons. I have a hard time getting motivated on Mondays (don’t we all). I’m grabbing news from the past week (with two non-news days in between) rather than the past few days. With two non-work days, I find it hard to drop back into my work groove again (back to the motivation thing again). I basically decided that several days of work leading up to the post would suit me better.
Anyway, I’m going to try it out and see how it works. Starting this week I will start posting my podcasts on Thursdays. So, my next podcast will be Thursday, 2/21.

I’ve posted what I realized is the 52nd show of iGame Radio. Great interview with Hal Halpin of the ECA (part 1) and a review of the newly released Avernum 5 by Spiderweb Software. Plus, I rant about the whole Jeff Gerstmann thing (as though you haven’t heard enough about it already).

Over the weekend I received the great news that Freeverse had updated Sound Studio, which I use to both record and edit many of my interviews, to 3.5. Great, I thought. I had chatted with one of the developers of this app at Macworld and he had said that another version would be coming out sometime soon. Now I get to see what they put in (and if one of my suggestions made it in ;).
Unfortunately, I don’t get to find out. Why? SS is now crashing all over the place. Argh! I first realized the problem when I tried to use the 10 Band Equalizer and listen to the preview. Down went SS…continuously. I deleted the .plist for SS, and when I brought SS back up, things seemed to be fine. I was editing for about fifteen or twenty minutes, then suddenly everything starts crashing again.
I’m sending in a crash log to Freeverse to find out what’s going on, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to save the podcast for today. I can’t edit my two interviews I was planning on having in today’s podcast…I even tried just making a change, then saving the file. I couldn’t even finish the save before the app crashed.
And, no, I can’t use Audacity. It *always* crashes.
ETA: I was able to locate a previous version of SS so I should be able to post my podcast today. Yeah!

Yay! I posted my third podcast already, and on time too. This podcasting only instead of Internet Radio broadcasting thing is doing pretty good. Heh. I’ll update the site tomorrow to reflect the new podcast, but for tonight, everyone who has subscribed to the feed gets their podcast now.
Now, don’t you want to subscribe? ;)

I’m uploading the regular podcast right now…over 1 hour of yummy Mac gaming goodness! Unfortunately, the images that I need to use in the enhanced version need some work, and when I tried to bring up MacGimp, my G5 told me it didn’t have X11 installed. WTF?? It’s supposed to be automatic. Sigh. So now I have a bunch of stuff to do even before I get to change the images so that I can finish the enhanced podcast. So, later today or tomorrow for that.
But I didn’t want to make everyone wait for the podcast, so I made sure to upload the regular one now. Enjoy. :)

Yeah, I tried. But I had a ton of stuff to do. And they’re taking me out to dinner tonight. Oh, and my husband bought me a Wii. Weeeeeeee!!!!!
So, I should have it posted by no later than 11 am Pacific Time, enhancements and all.
ETA: Okay, add to this the fact that it has snowed again, and that my kids are, again, home from school, and the time may be delayed further. ARGHHHH!!! When are my kids *ever* going to go to school so I can do a day’s work!!!
