Humble Bundle 6 Charges Onto the Scene
You love action, right? The Humble Bundle folks know this, and have provided. Humble Indie Bundle 6 debuts today, full of action, from RPG to physics to platformer. Five games, all on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and their soundtracks, plus a sixth game if you beat the current average price.
Side-scrolling sci-fi platformer Rochard by Recoil Games gets you to balance your skills with gravity, weight, and matter to beat puzzles in an intergalactic archaeological conspiracy. It’s also the premiere title debuting on Linux using the Unity game engine. Physics-based action game Shatter takes on the dangerous world of brick-breaker replicas with new concepts.
SPAZ is a top-down shooter that hides its true intentions in an acronym…more zombies and pirates in space! Puzzle-platformer Vessel just makes me wish I had those liquid-manipulation skills with beer. Lastly, Runic Games action RPG Torchlight hacks and slashes its way onto Linux to complete its computer OS control.
In Humble Indie Bundle fashion, you pay what you want to get your bundle, and split the amount as you wish. You can put it all towards the bundle, or split it between the two charities, Child’s Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. You can even drop a tip into the jar for Wolfire Games, as running the Humble Indie Bundle site isn’t free.
And if you pay more than the average at that moment (which at the time of posting is only $5.48) you also get Dustforce for free. In this frantic platformer janitors are the heroes as you direct them to clean the filth that threatens to take over with acrobatic moves and vaulting brooms.
I was really happy to also see just how much the gamer community has donated to charity by participating in the Humble Indie Bundles from the beginning. Over $6.7 million has been donated! Wow! Pat yourselves on the back.
Now, go buy some more games!
