Alien Spidy Swings Into PAX
Back in early June we mentioned that Alien Spidy had made its first appearance to the gaming world via the ESRB system. Other than that the game was NOT a cross between the Aliens movie and Spider Man, we didn’t know too much more than that you’d be helping a little alien spider put his crash-landed spacecraft back together again. Well, that’s changed…
Publisher Kalypso Media has released more info, an interactive website, and a whole new trailer for the game. In the game you step into the web of an intelligent alien spider whose space ship has crash landed on Earth as he rescues his female companion, Virgi, and collects the lost parts of his craft. A unique feature of the game is the web-swinging mechanic, allowing Spidy to swing from one location to another and avoid dangers. But the developer, Enigma Software, has increased the difficulty of the levels as you progress, making the game attractive to more hardcore players.
The developer will be at PAX Prime in a couple of weeks as well, showing off the game. So we’ll get a chance to get our hands on it and find out just what kind of swinging we can do.
