Steam Summer Sale is On, Not Many Mac Games To Start
The annual Steam Summer Sale has begun. The Summer Sale will again feature more than straight discounts, offering Daily Deals, Flash Sales, and “Customer Choice” Sales. That last one allows gamers to vote for a title on a given list to be put on sale for a limited time.
The site is sorted out into a Daily Deals section, which shows the nine games you can buy that day at discounts as high as 75%. There are also Pack Deals, which gives you discounts for collections, such as the Star Wars Collection, the PopCap collection, and the id Super Pack. Flash Sales only last for a few hours, so you have to visit the site fairly regularly to grab these.
Then there’s The Community’s Choice, which is the customer choice sale. You get to vote on a choice of three games that will go on sale, with a new vote happening every eight hours. The current Community Choice is between Batman: Arkham City, Saints Row: The Third, and The Witcher 2. We’ve voted for Witcher 2, since we know it’s going to be coming out for the Mac very soon.
The Mac content in the sale today varies. Of the Daily Deals, only three of the games are available on the Mac. You’ll find a better selection by looking at the Pack Deals, which have a lot more Mac friendly collections.
The Steam Summer Sale will continue through July 22nd, so time to stock up!
