DOFUS: Battles 2 and Battles Get Big Updates

Steam isn’t the only place where sales are happening. Ankama must be feeling hot and bothered too, because they’ve dropped the price of their iOS App DOFUS: Battles 2. They’ve also insisted that the original DOFUS: Battles won’t be forgotten, promising several improvements as well.

DOFUS: Battles 2 has dropped to just €2.39/$2.99/£1.99 which, depending on where you are when you get it, represents as much as a 50% drop in price. DOFUS: Battles will still be available for the original download price of €0.79/$0.99/£0.69.

In addition, they’ve added Dreggon Peninsula, a new island, which will appear in both games. Nine new battles will also spice things up. Four new tower defense battles have been added to DOFUS: Battles as well as an infinite mode (which Ankama likens to a survival mode). DOFUS: Battles 2 has received four tower attack battles. Note that players will be required to own both games in order to access all the new content.

Ankama has also implemented a new system that links the games to the players’ Ankama accounts. This means that players who have completed transmedia quests in DOFUS will be able to earn bonuses in DOFUS: Battles and DOFUS: Battles 2 (such as Health Points or an extra spell level).

DOFUS: Battles 2 picks up where the original Battles left off, but adds a new style of gameplay called Tower Attack. Meant to be more offensive in nature than Tower Defense styles, the aim is to attack, with the help of monsters, and reach a certain point while overcoming riddles along the way.
