The latest DLC to Dungeon Defenders has jumped onto Steam, and includes a whole lot more than just content. Sky City, the epic conclusion to The Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards, is available for download for $3.99, but the DLC also includes a huge number of updates as well as the inclusion of Steam Workshop.
The DLC features a new campaign mission, the Boss Rush challenge mission, a new pet, and tons of new weapons and accessories. Players who have all four parts of the Eternia Shards get a bonus mission and content that concludes the tale. This update also raises the level cap to 90 and introduces Ultimate Loot tier. These weapons are made even better with full set bonuses, and accompany new achievements, new costumes and some great, super-secret unlocks.
With Steam Workshop integration, players have already added content to the game with new maps and mods. Working in tandem with the Dungeon Defenders Development Kit, the game will now sort custom maps in their own section and allow players to download custom maps in Open play as they come up in the multiplayer queue. Accompanying the release of Steam Workshop are the winners of the Dungeon Defenders $1,000 Map Making Contest.
If you aren’t familiar with Dungeon Defenders, now might be a good time to pick the game up. The game and much of its DLC are available for 66% off as a Midweek Madness sale on Steam. The game combines elements of tower defense and action-RPG gameplay in a fantastical setting that includes loot-raiding and spell-casting.
