CoD: Black Ops For Mac Confirmed
On Tuesday, we got intel that told us OSX listings of Call of Duty: Black Ops were showing up in the Steam database. Now we have confirmation: Aspyr Media has just released news that CoD: Black Ops will be coming to the Mac this fall. The game will be available for both digital download and in boxed format.
There’s not a whole lot of information available yet, but Aspyr does say that they’ll be releasing all four DLC packs as well later this year, though it is unclear whether the packs will be released at the same time as the game. No pricing or system requirements have been mentioned.
If you are unfamiliar with CoD: Black Ops, the game takes players to conflicts across the globe as elite black operations forces fight in the deniable operations and secret wars that occurred under the veil of the Cold War. The game features a single-player campaign, Zombie co-operative game mode, and a deep multiplayer experience. Black Ops delivers immersive cinematic action with enhanced graphics, streaming texture technology, and awesome lighting effects. You’ll get all new Killstreaks, can customize your characters, and engage in Free-For-All and Team Deathmatch game modes.
To celebrate, Aspyr has put their entire Call of Duty Mac catalog (Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4) on sale for 50% off. You can grab these games in the Mac App Store or other digital retailers. And if you want a free copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops? Just blow away a few people in the Aspyr CoD4 Multiplayer event being held on July 6. Go to the site to sign up and for more details. We’ll be there…maybe you can beat us, but we doubt it. ;)
