Operation CrossCounter is NOT a Cross dressing RPG

When we first heard of Operation CrossCounter we thought, “Great, a cross-dressing shopping game!” Sadly, you will not be in a roleplaying game where you get to live out your life’s dream of finding a cocktail dress to match your beard. Instead, Sollmo, the South Korean developer of Buddy Rush has created a science-fiction story where the universe has been overrun by the bloodthirsty Guroken robots. You play the role of a Special Solder who has been drafted into Operation CrossCounter: a desperate attempt to turn the tide of the war.

I Choose You…Obsidian Entertainment

inXile entertainment has chosen their game developer…but we’ll only see them work together if the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Campaign reaches the right amount. Award-winning RPG developer Obsidian Entertainment will collaborate on the game design and writing for the Wasteland 2 project if the funding level reaches $2.1M. With 17 days left on a campaign that is making about $98,720 per day, that’s probably not going to be a problem.

The Rumors of Auditorium 2’s Death Were Greatly Exaggerated….

Good news! Cipher Prime’s “Troubled” Kickstart project Auditorium 2: Duet has reached the $60,000 goal mark required to green-light production of the physics based music game. There had been some concern over whether the developers of excellent and well received games Pulse and Fractal were going to reach the amount needed to create a sequel to their popular flash-based game Auditorium. Will Stallward was quoted on Giant Bomb as stating that they were “mathematically not on track to make it”.

Effendi To Compose Music for Guns of Icarus Online

Muse Games has announced that award-winning composer Zain Effendi will be creating the music for upcoming multiplayer title Guns of Icarus Online. Having worked with Hans Zimmer’s team at Remote Control Productions on the scores of legendary films like Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Kung Fu Panda, and The Dark Knight before starting his own studio, Effendi has a lot of experience with creating expansive musical pieces with dark or moody themes, probably a good help in creating the mood for this post-apocalyptic airship combat game.

In Guns of Icarus Online up to four players will manage a steampunk style airship as one of the key roles on the ship: Captain, Gunner, or Engineer. The game will mix FPS action with team-based strategy. The game is currently in beta, ans is due out later this year.
