[Podcast] Game Review Cast 48: OIO, Drawn 3
Today Omaha reviews the Mac games Drawn 3: Trail of Shadows by Big Fish Games and OIO by Uncanny Games.
What’s inside this episode:
- A review of OIO, by Uncanny Games. A beautifully simplistic puzzle platformer with a unique game mechanic, OIO could still use a bit of work on its difficulty gradient.
- Also, a review of Drawn 3: Trail of Shadows, published by Big Fish Games. The third in the Drawn series, Drawn 3 takes new steps forward in graphical technique and depth of adventure/hidden object integration.

I really loved tho OIO demo. The look and feel are very nice. I am holding off to see if they release it on Steam or the App store.
I hope that they do, because I found the process of downloading the purchased product from Gamersgate less than satisfactory. Also, it’s always better from a marketing perspective to get your game exposed on multiple distribution platforms.
Unfortunately, the developer is a bit freaked by the pirating aspect and is afraid that the game will get pirated too much. I think that convincing Uncanny Games that there are players that will play the game if it comes out on Steam/Mac App Store may help, though.
