Indie title SickBrick finds cake, sets up shop
MisfitVillager has announced the release of SickBrick, an indie title inspired by the likes of Portal and Serious Sam. Published by Magrathean Technologies, the game is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
SickBrick is an action-oriented Sci-Fi FPS with a mix of modern graphics and oldschool gameplay. The game shows heavy inspiration from Portal and Serious Sam. For example, in the game you’re forced to do tests for an unknown robotic mastermind, slowly unraveling the story through unlocking the log files of previous test subjects. The game consists of 15 levels mixing indoor and outdoor areas, and includes additional gameplay such as tankdriving and platform-style play.
Developed on the NeoAxis Engine, the game has been in development off and on for three years. There aren’t any specific system requirements, but the game demo ran fine on an older Mac Pro. The game has been released for Windows, Mac, and Linux (using a wine wrapper), and can be purchased for $7.99.
