Jurassic Park: The Game roars gold
Telltale Games has announced that Jurassic Park: The Game has gone gold. This point and click adventure game coming for multiple platforms, including the Mac, will release on November 15th with its first of five episodes.
Jurassic Park: The Game is a cinematic adventure that takes players back to Isla Nublar – the site of Jurassic Park – during the events of the first movie. Filling up some loose ends that were never addressed (ex: The embryos), you play a new character who is a desperate smuggler that has to fight through the thick flora and the deadly fauna and find your quarry without meeting up with an untimely death. In addition to locations and creatures familiar to fans of the movie, the game offers new areas to explore and new prehistoric beasts to survive in a game that combines fast-paced action, exploration and puzzle-solving.
Jurassic Park: The Game breaks new ground for Telltale Games as it is the first-ever simultaneous, multi-platform launch in company history, as well as its first retail Xbox 360 product. These milestones result from Telltale’s long-term growth strategy to add a retail component to its global digital distribution acumen, as well as broaden its development capabilities across all popular gaming platforms. Telltale Games also announced that the iPad version of the game is also in development and will release shortly after November 15th via the iTunes AppStore.
Unfortunately, no system requirements for the Mac have been released yet. But Telltale Games is offering a pre-order exclusive. Pre-order the Mac version of the game from the Telltale Online Store and qualify for a $10 discount off of the Deluxe Edition of the game…$39.99 for a game normally $49.99.
