January App Hall of Famers released, games maintain 58% hold

The App Hall of Fame has released their January list of inductee’s, and once again games are a majority of the apps in the list. Over 58% of the inductees are games.

This month’s inductees include Indie games that show the true creativity in the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad game industry. For example, The Creeps by Super Squawk Software is listed as one of the “best tower defense game[s] available.” Eliss by Steph Thirion seems to take the concepts in Osmos to new levels.

There are also some more well-known games that have hit that quality mark with App gamers, such as Mobigame’s Edge and Bejeweled 2 + Blitz by PopCap Games.
