Tap Disc plays capture the flag with your iPhone
Legal Radiation has released Tap Disc onto the App Store, a game that mixes strategy and color matching with a simple tapping mechanism to create a complex puzzle game of timing. Originally released in the Greek App Store as Flying Discs, Tap Disc is gaining new life in the international community.
White, orange, and red rings ricochet around the game screen, and you have to collect them by dropping collector rings. Tapping the screen will do that, but your collector rings will quickly change color from from white to orange to red, so you have to time your tapping as to collect these rings when they are the same color as your collector. The goal is to collect as many rings as possible while making sure the red rings do not come in contact with the big bad black and yellow “hostile” ring.
The game features combos and more than 20 different bonuses, power-ups and challenges that alter the game in interesting ways. The soccer bonus creates goal posts that you must “kick” a disc through to disable the enemy disc. The phonograph bonus creates a record player and turns the hostile disc into a vinyl record that you must land on the record player to play a song and keep him stuck there. There are three different difficulty modes, and even a pre-school mode designed just for young children.
And for a limited time, Legal Radiation is also sponsoring a contest with cash prizes for the winners.
Tap Disc is available now on the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad for $0.99.
