L4D2 on the Mac tomorrow, L4D coming by the Haunting
After teasing us for over a week, Valve has made it official! Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are both coming to the Mac, as well as the DLC The Sacrifice.
Both Left 4 Dead 2 and The Sacrifice are coming tomorrow, October 5th. If you already own L4D2 on your Windows PC, you own it for your Mac. You need only download and install the Mac version. Otherwise, the game will cost the same as the Windows version, as per Valve’s policy…$19.99. Along with L4D2, all three subsequent DLCs will be available for free download: The Passing, No Mercy, and of course The Sacrifice.
Valve also apologized for releasing the sequel before the original, but apparently unexpected complications have lengthened the released date for Left 4 Dead for the Mac. Valve stated that they hope to release the game in time for Halloween. All DLC will also be available for the Mac as well, free to download. An exact release date is still pending.
