Bite Interactive has released an app called The Red Carpet that delivers the latest buzz around the Oscars in 24/7 realtime. you can rate the films and other nominees, and share those reviews on Facebook and twitter, you can find theaters and showtimes near you for nominees you haven’t seen yet, and the app has Netflix tracking so you can grab the film on Netflix too. You can even see film previews and summaries in the app itself.

But here’s the best part. You could win a $1M if you correctly choose all 24 nominees. You have to be 13 or over to participate in the contest and it ends on 3/7/10. Oh, and in the fine print, the money is released over 50 years! Which means if you’re over 30, you might want to think about setting up a trust fund to receive part of the yearly $20,000 you’ll get it you are the winner. Heh.
