Popular BBC One drama Adventures of Merlin coming to App Store
INTENIUM Console and FremantleMedia Enterprises announced last week that an RPG game for the iPhone and iPod Touch based on The Adventures of Merlin is in the works. The popular BBC One family drama revolves around Merlin, Arthur, and others from Camelot while they are still young, and has just completed its second run.
The game will combine fantasy, action and magic elements contained within the show, and claims to appeal to both casual gamers and fantasy role play gamers alike. Players can be either Merlin or Prince Arthur as they travel throughout Camelot taking on villains and monsters, solving riddles and putting magic to good use.
Whereas the show itself is only available to folks in the UK (thanks, England), the iPhone game will be available throughout the world in five different languages, including English, Italian, and Spanish. The game will be available on the iTunes App Store in April 2010.
