Farm Frenzy 2 launches for iPhone

Farm Frenzy 2While I was away at Macworld 2010, a number of announcements were made that I just wasn’t able to get onto the site (being that I was out partying all night long busily uploading podcasts to the site). So I’m playing catchup now.

One of those announcements is that Farm Frenzy 2 has been released for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I find it ironic that I got the chance to meet with Alawar Entertainment, the publisher of the game, at Macworld, and was able to even play the game for a bit. It is a lot of fun. Farm Frenzy 2 is the sequel to the original grandmammy of the farm building games. Grow grass, feed chickens, collect eggs and take your produce to market, then use the money you earn to build more buildings, pull more water from the well, and dogs to help chase the bears away.

Wait…bears? Yes, you heard right. Bears. For reasons that I never understood, bears wander around your farm at times and kick your chickens out to who knows where. And we’re not talking just brown bears, as I had to encounter a Panda on my farm.

Compatible with all iPhone and iPod Touch models, but requiring OS 3.0 or later, it’s available now for $2.99 at the iTunes store.
