So, if you are one of those that has been interested in Sun’s Project Darkstar, you might just be wondering what will happen to this great online game engine project in light of the Sun/Oracle merger that has been announced. Apparently, not even the folks at Project Darkstar know either, yet:

The only answer we can give is that we don’t know. When we do (and when we can say something; these sorts of transactions are subject to lots of laws about what can be said and when) we will tell you. But for now, we are just going to move ahead with what we are doing…

Best thing to do is keep track of the forum thread for updated information as it comes, and hope that Oracle doesn’t take Sun apart into small pieces and trash it all.
