Hi Omaha,
I’ve always wanted a mole at MacWorld. Where are the Macs at MacWorld? I’ve seen news of AppleTV, Airport Extreme, and the iPhone but nothing about Macs or even Leopard. Is there anything new at MacWorld that deals with those basics?
By the way, you do know that you are expected to play every single game demo. There will be a quiz. Have any new Mac games been announced at MacWorld?
Thank you for volunteering to serve in the front lines of Mac news. Your Mac patriotism is noted. Keep your head down but in doing so, don’t stick your butt up. Common mistake that. I hope you are getting lots of interview there, we will all be wanting to hear those!
Believe it or not, there was nothing about new or updated Macs or Leopard at the Keynote. Quite surprising. I didn’t get to see the keynote first hand…I got to SF Tuesday evening. But I was on MacObserver watching their up-to-the-minute FTP coverage (because Blogger kind of screwed them) of the keynote. iPhone…sweet. Not much else mentioned, not so much.
I’ve been swamped with interviews yesterday, but I will be looking at lots of Mac machine hardware and getting the updates on Leopard today, and doing the gaming today and tomorrow. Plus more interviews. Heh. Busy Omaha-kitty.
I will report back in this thread. :)
I’m not sure if this link will post, but it appears from this cisco.com page that Cisco is suing Apple over the “iPhone” name.

Is there any buzz about that at MacWorld?
Actually, no one seemed to be talking about that. Everyone was simply drooling over the iPhone and, among podcasters, AppleTV (because it included podcasts). What’s even worse, is that Steve Jobs in several interviews has now said that there will be no “third-party apps” on the iPhone…so no games! You can see two different interviews where he says such here:

I am *not* happy. >:(
